You can choose from a variety of domestic shipping options for your non-prescription order. Please check the following table for our domestic shipping services and rates:

The times listed above pertain to business days (Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays). Please note that we can only begin to investigate lost orders shipped via standard shipping once 10 business days have passed since the date of shipment.

Perishable Items

 

Some of the items we sell are considered "perishable". This means that the item is prepared fresh for you at the time you order it. Because the item is fresh, it is kept refrigerated during shipping. Perishable packages are not in transit on Saturday and Sunday, so for this reason any item noted as perishable must be placed by strict deadlines in order to avoid weekend transit.

If you notice that one of the items that you want to purchase is currently out of stock, there will be a date listed next to the product stating when we should be receiving the product back in stock. If you choose to purchase the item anyway, please note that an additional shipping fee will apply.

Order Processing Deadlines

 

These above numbers are estimates based on our most common orders. For overnight and 2-day shipping, orders received before 3PM EST Monday to Friday (except holidays) will begin to process the same day. For 3-day and 3-day (ground) shipping, orders must be received before 1PM EST Monday to Friday (except holidays) in order to begin processing the same day. Orders received after the cutoff time will begin to process the next business day.

 

Shipping Confirmation E-mails

 

Our systems will send you an automated shipment confirmation email when we have finished processing your order and our transportation partner has picked it up for delivery, at which point the shipment method timeframe you have selected will commence. Please note that our transportation partners do not process orders on the weekend. Therefore, if you place an order after the cutoff time on Friday, you may experience a delay between your shipping confirmation e-mail and the actual shipment of your order.

Prescription (Rx) and non-prescription (OTC) items must be ordered separately.

 

Shipping Carriers

 

Orders shipped via standard shipping and Rx orders shipped via 3-day (ground) shipping will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service, UPS or FedEx. Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee that your order will be shipped via a specific method when you choose these delivery options.

 

Orders shipped via 2-day and overnight shipping, as well as OTC orders shipped via 3-day, are all shipped via UPS. Please note when using expedited shipping methods we cannot request or guarantee delivery by a specific time. Generally UPS will deliver your package by 8PM on the estimated date of delivery.

 

Weekend Delivery

 

We are unable to arrange weekend deliveries. All shipping and processing times listed on our website are in business days (Monday-Friday, excluding all national holidays). Some of our shipping carriers occasionally deliver orders sent via standard shipping on Saturdays, but this service cannot be guaranteed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

Default Shipping Address

 

Your default shipping address is the one used on your most recent order. At Checkout, you can change your shipping address by clicking the "change" button located directly beneath the default address. This will allow you to choose another address, or enter a new address in the spaces provided.

 

You can change your shipping address at any time in the Shipping Addresses area of Your Account. You can add, delete, or edit any of your shipping addresses. Changes you make via the Shipping Addresses area of Your Account will not affect orders you have already placed.

 

Risk of Loss

 

All items purchased from drugstore.com are made pursuant to a shipment contract with our carriers. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery of your order to the carrier.

The expected processing time for all prescription orders is 1-2 business days from the date the order was placed, regardless of the shipping method you have selected.

 

Total time until you receive your prescription = time to receive prescription + time to fill prescription + time to ship prescription.

 

Please note that the total time to verify and ship your prescription may be longer if:

 

• You're using insurance for the first time at the BBRX2LLC(KIDSRX), (please allow one to two extra days to allow us to verify your insurance).
• You're ordering a medicine that's considered a controlled substance.
• You're ordering a DOT-restricted item that requires ground shipping.

 

Our 3-day (ground) service for prescription orders typically takes up to 3 days for delivery.

 

Refrigerated Medicines

 

Refrigerated medicines must be delivered using overnight shipping and overnight shipping charges will apply.
